Just wish now I would have received it before I started buying all these monoculars although I do like the 4x12 for using as a sort of small microscope and it may well be quite useful for macro viewing outdoors. It does have good colour and it is much brighter than the Helios but I did want to compare it with the Optima which I think/hope is as good or better than a Specwell but it appears to be the same just rebranded?

[QUOTE="CliveP, post: 3338491, member: 85835"] I do like the dog idea but I would add a twist. Get rid of the postmen and replace them with the dogs. Dog arrives, couple of barks, sorted. I had a quick look into it and seems it's pretty standard practice for the posty to fill out the cards before they go out on their rounds and the package never leaves the depot and if you catch them putting the card through the door then they just give some BS story but basically they either couldn't be bothered or had to big a workload at that time and couldn't fit in all the deliveries. At least it's pretty certain that tomorrow I will get it as I will do the delivering myself basically. I did go out with the bins and monocs yesterday but I was a bit late and the light went down but the 4x12 was basically ineffective with the tiny view and I suppose the Helios 8x21 was also no use although I think in bright summer light or such it might be worth the struggle but even then the 10x25 bin was way way way better and I know it's not a low light specialist when I compare it with my 8x32 Kowa there is so much more light coming through but it is still usable, actually a really very good little binocular indeed and I see myself using that a lot and may even keep it permanently in my backpack or jacket pocket.
