Germander Speedwell and a Whitebell from this afternoon. I could have taken many more Bluebells, but I just looked and enjoyed them! The Whitebell was surrounded by thousands of its blue cousins. Actually...what is the relationship? Off to find out!

1) Thrift
2,3. Don't know.
4) Vetch?
5) Buttercups?

1: Yes, definitely looks like thrift :t:
2: Looks like some sort of 'escaped' agricultural brassica....rapeseed? Some sort of cabbage?
3: This one I DO know but the name escapes me!!! It's a herb of some sort!!! Arghhhh what do they call it......Borage? I'm sure you can soak it in water for a few days or weeks and it makes a good fertiliser.
4: I'm sure I saw some of that at Druridge on Tuesday - I think someone on this site (Northumberland thread?) said it was Common Vetch.
4: Looks like Meadow Buttercup (upright growing habit as opposed to creeping buttercup's, well, creeping over ground habit 3:)) with another dmestic brassica in front on the right.

I may be wrong with these mind...I'm still working on botany and trying to improve my own knowledge this year.

Hold on...I'll go google it......

Yes, there IS a plant called Medick....I didn't imagine it! ;) rather bizarrely it's called black even tho' it's yellow! :king: Is this the one?

I think the second pic, first post is Rapeseed escaped, Gill. I agree on the others. Many thanks for your identifications for me.

Perhaps :smoke: 3:)

Just googled it and yes, I think THAT'S what it is :t: And reading a bit it turns out that it's comfrey which you make a fertiliser from, not borage :king:

Thanks Bea xxx
