The Hoverfly Thread (1 Viewer)

A couple of what I think are hoverflies for identification if someone would be so kind. Two photos of each, I think its apparent which are which.

The righthand one is a Xanthogramma sp , I think X. pedissequum rather than X. stackelbergi but I'm a bit rusty on hoverflies.
Using your suggestions to survey photos on the net it looks like Xanthogramma pedissequum to me with my rather holistic way of looking at animals. I'll caption it that and wait for someone to contradict with reasons!
