I really think the glare is IN the binoculars. I don't see it in the Swaro's 8x25 CL-P but I do in the Nikon M7's so it has to be in the M7's right?

The word "cheap" as I understand has different meanings in Brit. and Amer. English. (Some of these - Brit. and Amer. - might, naturally, apply to some posts in some fora.) The comedian Jack Benny portrayed a miserly (= Amer. cheap) character but is said to have been in real life a notably generous person. Learnt that in the last few minutes thorugh the magic of Google and YouTube!
As far as Bf. readers can know a comparison of Frank to J.B. can only be with the real J.B. What impresses me chiefly about him is that he mostly limits himself to bins affordable to the great majority of bird watchers, when he can easily, with his standing in the binocular field, have the pleasure of using without payment, and writing about, the more pricey and optically better models. Seems to me he helps the most people on this forum in the most useful way!

It was in humor. I value Frank's opinion also. Although I don't usually buy binoculars at his price point. His recommendations are very helpful to beginning birders and birders on a budget.

Thank you Pomp for the kind words. They are sincerely appreciated. I wish I could say that I had that much of an altruistic motive for my posting and experiences. Truth be told I am pretty much broke on a regular basis after paying off all of my bills. It has been that way since I got divorced.
Such is life but I still have found a way to enjoy my hobby and to share it with all of you.
In case I did not say it earlier in some other post....a Happy Holidays to all of you...even you Dennis...Oh, Santa Flip-Flop.

Always found your *recommendations* v. useful - looking fwd. to them in 2014!

Digging up an old thread here. I'll be getting a pair of M7 8x30's tomorrow. The fact it's being compared (in most cases very favourably) to binos costing twice, or even four times as much, speaks volumes for the Nikons. These threads have really helped me choose the right binos, so I will update with a review soon that will hopefully assist someone else too.
