Hey, Frank, signs of life! This is a good sign and it brightens up the day a bit. I'm glad we see some similarities. I have to say I like your description of the Vista as being the roof version of the Leupold Yosemite. To add a bit to my earlier comments, it got pretty cold here last night, 10* F to be precise. I happened to have left the ZEN ED, ZRS, and Vista binoculars in my pickup, so they were pretty much at ambient temperature when I grabbed the Vista to look over the cows. We're just starting the calving season, which is probably why it got so cold. The Vista showed a couple of things in the cold. First is the focus wheel stiffens up to near immobility. The objective and oculars immediately fogged up (externally) when I put them to my eyes, and it took some time to let them clear. They did that twice and were OK. The focus wheel freed up significantly after a few full wheel travel rotations. The ZRS fogged up some on first placement to the eyes too, but was a lot less than the Vista. It took a couple of minutes for the fogging to clear and they were OK. The focus stiffened up, but not to the degree of the Vista. The ZEN ED had a bit stiffer than usual behavior, but there was negligible to no external fogging. I tend to have a bit of a problem with any binocular fogging externally in the cold when I first lift them to may face. It had warmed all the way up to 12* in the hour I used up doing this. It even got to 34* for about an hour this afternoon. So, it's supposed to be this cold again tomorrow, so they will go from the house to the outside tomorrow.
