The image of a Red-backed Shrike was shot at Cape Creco/ Cyprus end of April
28th of April was an excellent migration day for Red-backed Shrike (Lanius collurio) at Cape Creco. I think the female (I think) of a Red-backed Shrike at Cape Creco is remarkable brownish on head and neck. A superciliary stripe is not really developed. What do you think. Images in the Oriental Bird Club show Red-backed Shrikes which seems to be considerably more brownish that the European Red-backed Shrikes. Could it be a hybrid?
Thanks for ID to the experts
Cheers
Johannes
