Has anyone tried The SongFinder - a hearing aid for those of us with high-frequency hearing loss, who cannot hear much in the way of bird song. It works by lowering the frequency range of the bird's call/song to a frequency within our range. If so, how severe is your normal hearing and how effective do you find the device. Just in case anyone stumbles on this thread title looking for Songfinder device... it's coming back as an iOS app:

Do hope that they can bring out an Android version as well.
Hopefully we won't have to endure another multi year wait as we did with the Collins guide.
