I currently have Minox HG 8x33 binoculars. Which looks and feels good. OnlyIt's a little difficult to see for people who wear glasses (shadows) and the bag is also too soft, so it's in a Zeiss bag:). I'm now looking for binoculars that are ideal for people who wear glasses, with a field of view from 135m and a nice, clear image with the edges as sharp as possible. The magnification should be 8x. The lens diameter 32/33 or 40/42. The weight doesn't matter. But it should be more compact. A good Lotustec coating or something similar would be nice, but it's not a must. The price should be 800-1200 euros. A longer warranty period would be nice. I've already seen the Nikon 8x30/8x42 without Lotustec, DDoptics 8x42 SHG with Lotustec and the Kahles 8x42 with (?) Lotustec. Which one has the best insight or who else has a recommendation?

The Kahles is an excellent glass, as is the SLC - perfect size in the hand, quite compact with excellent low light capabilities.

@ dries1 = I don't believe.

Have these ever been for sale in the US?

I am still impressed by the optics and also by the armoring, which offers 100% protection. Since it was on offer for €1166, it was exactly within the limit I had set for myself. Unfortunately, Kahles doesn't include a case or a decent strap. So I bought a case from DD Optics and was about to buy a Niggeloh strap, but then saw the Zeiss strap on offer on eBay. Since the DD Optics strap on the case was also rather simple, it has since been replaced by one from Crumpler, which I still had.
My second choice was the DDOptics 8x42 SHG

Nowadays the most high quality roof 8x40/42 glasses work good with eyeglasses. Unfortunately the most 8x30/32 do not.
The best 30/32 I am aware of are Swarovski EL 8X32 and according to a lot of reports Zeiss SFL 8x30.
I will receive SFL 8x30 next week so then I will really know.
