Totally mystified on this bird - Central Eastern Ontario Canada (1 Viewer)

I have been trying to identify this cutie for awhile but it's colouring around the eyes and upper feathers is hard to find. I am thinking it may be a juvenile therefore a little harder to identify. A lot of my searches come up as house sparrow, but they are rare here, not unheard of, but rare and not a clean match. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope the images aren't too big.

I do believe you guys are right. I have a couple of other female purple finches that come around, but they are darker than this one. And the yellow is not as distinct. But markings are dead on. Thanks a million. I have become addicted to my birds. As a matter of fact, it's time for wine and a little bird watching.
