We had a toyota van too in Oz, a townace, and it did us proud. Hopefully yours will too :t:. .....'Powerful Owl lives within the park also but I didn't see any.'... Your best chance for Powerful Owl must be checking out a local bird sightings service for the Sydney area (this worked for us and was the only Powerful Owl we ever saw). Sometimes roosting spots are staked out. Maybe put another post on the Oz section of BF?? EDIT: eg this gen on a bird we missed I've just found from Birdline New South Wales, from Capertee Valley on Feb 10th (so just 8 days ago): .."Plum-headed Finch north of Glen Alice-Glen Davis T-Junction, Capertee Valley Total count of 47 Plum-headed Finches in the valley. The majority (40) of the finches were located about 2km north of the Glen Alice-Glen Davis Road junction. Of the flock of 40, around 10-15 appeared to be dependent young." here's a link to the site in case it's useful: http://www.eremaea.com/BirdlineRecentSightings.aspx?Birdline=2
