Hello,

End of 2024 I was in Poland for 10 days sighseeing in Szczezcin, Poznan, Lodz, Wroczlaw and Lublin.
Especially Poznan, Lublin und Wroczlaw worth to see.
After world war 2 in Germany many old building and ruins replaced.
People in Poland build up the old buildings.

I want again in spring to Poland but 3 or 4 weeks and see national parcs or other nice bird watching spots.
Which places are recommended ?

One idea is drive from Rostock via Szczezcin and Poznan to Lublin maybe end of March.
Then continue via Kosice or Zakopane and Bratislawa, Budapest, Belgrad to Greece and back to Poland.
I suppose end of March is not so good for birding in Poland but back middle of April to middle of May ?

Nice would be Lazure Tit, Roller, Ural Owl and Aquatic Warbler.
Nice also Pink footed Goose, Lesser fronted Goose, Syrian Woodpecker, Short eared Owl, Little Bustard, Baillons Crake, Great Snipe, Marsh Sandpiper, Terek Sandpiper, Pratincole, Pallied Harrier, Lesser and Greater Spotted Eagle, Lesser Grey Shrike, Eurasian River Warbler, Greenish Warbler, Horned Lark, Citrine Wagtail, Red throated Pipit, Common Rosefinch, Ortolan Bunting, Lapland Longspur...

Are there vultures in Poland ?

Thank you very much.

Best regards
Dieter

For most of above birds which occur in Poland, best are Biebrza marshes in the north-east. They are also found near Lublin and Chelm but in much smaller numbers in less reliable places. Ural owl is in SE and relatively widespread in Bieszczady, but may be some stake outs elsewhere.

I would recommend a look at some trip reports on Cloudbirders or reports on eBird for Biebrza - as Jurek mentions, this locality will hold more of your listed birds than most sites, but please note that many of the birds you list are either impossible in Poland or extremely unlikely.
