Having said that, another Steve (Hamhed who I am sure will also answer) have done several trips to CR without a rental and it has worked well for him. I think part of the difference is to choose a place to stay that allow you to walk out for several days to good habitat, and then use a day to move between such locations. For moving between different locations but not every day, I have read that other people have used <a href="mailto:crgateway@racsa.co.cr">crgateway@racsa.co.cr</a> .
