Message: <blockquote data-quote="Tree Sparrow" data-source="post: 1480608" data-attributes="member: 68728">You're not the only one who is becoming confused with what is going on.What I am certain of is that there are a pair using my homemade (crappy) nestbox AND they are now delivering food to the nest so I presume that means that the eggs have hatched.  Probably about two days ago.The last few days there has been tree sparrow activity at a nestbox that I put up 2 years ago which very early this spring attracted the interest of great tits but then was deserted for weeks.  About 3 weeks ago I turned it round so that it was facing NE in the hope that would make it more appealing.  Well it seems to have worked!  I've also seen a tree sparrow calling on the tree where I think they nested last year, which isn't in my garden and I too have activity at another tree in the garden.The trouble is I can only see one area/nestbox at a time so apart from the nestbox where they have hatched I don't know for sure if it is different birds or the same ones checking out different areas.I'm beginning to think that I have more of them about than I first thought.It did become a lot more obvious once they started feeding.  Obviously whilst they were sitting it became a lot quieter at the nestbox and I only occasionally saw them going in and out.I'd love to know when/if your's hatch.TS</blockquote>
