Trying to identify bird call (audio link) (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I was at Middle Creek Wildlife Reserve in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania this past weekend and heard the bird call I recorded and posted below. It sounds so familiar, but I just can't place it.

For context, we were walking along a trail that ran between a dense wooded area and a field of tall grass. This bird was perched somewhere in a tree in the wooded area... unfortunately, we could only hear it. It's driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance and hope someone can help!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Your recording is definitely a Field Sparrow, a fairly common bird at Middle Creek WMA.
