Hi , is this lens a great improvement over the older 30 X ? I'll be using it on a TS 613 .

Cheers

I havent used this eyepiece but I have owned the very similar TSE-32 WE for the 820 series, and It is quite better than the old 32XW...larger glass surface ,wider, sharper edge resolution, better coatings and much more eye relief...again not the same eyepiece but I imagine similar improvements in this model since they seem to be same generation..I am sure You will have reports from first hands users soon, but wanted to add my experience

I've used it with my 613 and I'd say mayoayo's comments do apply to this eyepiece. The old 30w was a good piece of kit though, so the differences aren't enormous.

mayoayo's comments are correct and I totally agree, I have owned both and still use the new model, it is certainly so much better than the old version.

I'd say it's better, but would agree with Dogfish that the old 30x (fold-down eye-cup) isn't far behind. Probably not worth upgrading if you already have one of those (though if you're into digiscoping the new one probably is rather better).
