Message: <blockquote data-quote="jring" data-source="post: 3281825" data-attributes="member: 133897">The thought of having an astro adapter for the small kowa bodies hasn't left my mind (I now have a nice zoom but some high mag fixed EP would be great and the old kowa 70x is almost impossible to find used) so today I did some measurements and I suppose this will just not work.I found that the inside diameter of the flanges of the small kowa bayonet is just 1.15" which ensures that an astro eyepiece can only penetrate 5mm from the upper rim of the threaded ring into the body - without destroying the mount in the body by removing the flanges.Since I understand from mayoayos post about modifying the Baader Zoom that he removed some part to enable it to penetrate further into the body to get focus to infinity that fact bodes bad news. I'll borrow some astro EPs from a friend and check focus when inserting them up to the bayonet but this looks not so good...Joachim</blockquote>
