TSN-663M, advice!. (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I had the opportunity to purchase a Kowa TSN-663M with an eyepiece, I think it is the 20-60x zoom... and I would like to ask your advice.
I have seen some reviews about this telescope and it seems that it offers a sharp and contrasted image (review on P. Salimbeni's website and on you tube)
I think the lens is not fluorite, I have read that it is XD I don't really know what it is...??
In a world of dual controls, this one only has one and I imagine that the zoom will be like most... that is, a narrow field in relation to the ep. wide angle..., it doesn't seem very big or heavy... but to pick up and carry it could be a good candidate or there are others just as good but cheaper!
Has anyone used it?
Thank you
G. Poli.

I have no experience of the 663, but if you search on this forum others may have commented on its performance.
I recently acquired a Kowa 613 and the most recent 30x wide eyepiece, and am very pleased with the image quality. I find it comparable with friends 65mm Swarovski scopes. The newer 603 would arguably be better (quite a bot more recent, perhaps better coatings and waterproof) but is a rare beast.
I understand that the Opticron HDF T zoom will fit the smaller kowa scopes, and delivers a better viewing experience than the stock Kowa zoom.

Hope this helps somewhat!
