Tubrid Near Millstreet (1 Viewer)

Sweet holy Tubrid heavenly serene
A place where god walk and his angels do dream
Where clear spring water bubbles up through the ground
For to form a beautiful well all around.

There is something about Tubrid words cannot express
The unruffled beauty and the peacefulness
In the halls of my mind I hear heaven's bell ring
And see God's angels bathing in Tubrid's bright spring.

O'er the Claraghatlea rushes a skylark sing sweet
By the famed well of Tubrid where peace and beauty greet
Whilst god fearing people to Christ mother pray
On this sunshiny sunday afternoon in May.

On Finnow river bank golden buttercups bloom
And robin on leafy bough pipe merry tune
where Tubrid's bright water with Finnow water meet
Half a mile from the County Cork Town of Millstreet.
