On a week's trip with a focus on culture and history there was very little time for birding but i did my best. We were in Antalya and Cappadocia.
Here's what i think:
1. Slender-billed Gull
2. Yellow-legged Gull
3. Slender-billed Gull
4. Peregrine
5. Lanner's Falcon

5 is perhaps wishful thinking or at any rate impossible to ID. It was taken during a balloon trip in Cappadocia. I saw a falcon through my binoculars but had a 60 mm lens on the camera. My wife (this photo) didn't do much better with her 70-300 mm zoom.

hi graham,

both "slender-billed" are black-headed gulls, 4cy YLG is correct, also peregrine.
the lanner - are you sure you were watching a large falcon? to me it looks as it could be another long-legged buzzard (common in kappodikia), rock nutchatch and rock sparrows correct apart from the 3 in pic 11 which could well be fem house sparrows.

Thanks very much for the IDs, Stuart and Lou!
Saw lots of Long-legged Buzzards on the trip. I know I "saw" a falcon on the balloon trip but it could have been a trick of the light I suppose.
