Turkey Vulture Perched? Adirondacks, NY (1 Viewer)

I saw something big out of the corner of my eye and went to investigate. It was this gigantic bird sitting on the chimney of the house down the hill a bit. It's a miracle that I got any picture of it at all because of all of the trees.

Has to be a turkey vulture, right? Not used to seeing them still and perched; usually far overhead with their tippy wings.

A brown body and I think I can see a tint of rufous in the head on my old screen?

Perhaps someone with a better monitor might confirm?....it looks like Turkey V. to me.

cheers
