Wir benennen, die soeben beschriebene neue Subspecies nach seiner Excellenz Alexander W. Gregorjew, dem Sekretär der Kaiserlichen geographischen Gesellschaft zu St Petersburg.

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:
Turtle Dove ssp. Turtur communis grigorjewi Zarudny & Loudon, 1902 NCR [JS Streptopelia turtur arenicola]
Alexander W. Grigorjew (DNF) was Secretary of the Imperial Geographical Society, St Petersburg, Russia. The describers originally used the spelling gregorjewi in error.

The Key to Scientific Names
Alexander W. Grigoriev (fl. 1904) Russian zoologist, Secretary of the Imperial Geographical Society, St Petersburg (syn. Streptopelia turtur arenicola).

Most probably Александр Васильевич Григорьев (1848—1908)

Alexander Vasilyevich Grigoriev (1848-1908) - Russian botanist and ethnographer. Secretary of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society in 1883-1903.
