Twite in Latvia yesterday (1 Viewer)

Dear Members and Bird Watchers!

Looking for birds in Riga and this bird showed up. I grabbed my phone to report a Dunnock in my eBird app.

But something was wrong and I never reported the bird. Dunnock have a plain chest and this bird is spotted.

I checked up the bird and for me it looks like a Twite, the only sparrow bird I can find with a spotted chest and belly.

I have not reported the bird yet as Twite is a FIRST TIME bird. Anyone here having any idea of the ID?

This is a linnet, larger bill and colouration.

Edit- also wanted to add that female/immature linnets typically are streaked and lack the reddish on the upper breast.

It is a linnet, look at the chestnut wings and grey bill.

This I could never have guessed. I have seen them before but they have always been red.
