We have a private tour to Uganda lined up for this January. There will be no more than five participants. This trip is not meant to go for the most species possible. Rather, emphasis will be to make it enjoyable by taking a bit more time. Aside from birds, emphasis will also be on mammals, with the possibility to go on a Gorilla trek. Other animals and plants will be enjoyed as well but not with a specific search.

The tour starts on January 6 at Entebbe, and it will terminate there on January 21st. Main places to visit will be Mabamba wetland for Shoebill, Murchison Falls NP, Kibale NP, Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi forest, Lake Mburo NP. Aside from Shoebill, we specifically want to go for African Finfoot, African Green Broadbill, Pittas, and of course many more. Tours for gung-ho birders would normally include Semliki N.P. and Budongo Forest, both of which we will not visit.

The tour is organized and will be led by Deogratius Muhumuza who is well known as reliable and a great tour leader.

So far, we are two participants (my wife and myself) who will take the tour for sure. Thus at most three persons could join. If interested, please contact Deo at "UGANDA PAL Deo Muhumuza" <[email protected]>
