Also started my UK season today after seeing several species in Albania last week.

A mature male & a pair in cop in a small pool at the London Wetland Centre. They'll need to be careful as c10 young Marsh Frogs sharing the pool!

Finally got off the mark yesterday at Pulborough Brooks RSPB with paired Large Red Damselflies ovipositing and a Four-spotted Chaser perched up.

I haven't seen any new for year species reported today but I did manage to see my first dragonfly (rather than damselfly) - a female Broad-bodied Chaser at Southampton Sports Centre. Yesterday I added Beautiful Demoiselle and Blue-tailed Damselfly at Testwood Lakes (also Hampshire).

Had both ,dragonfly and Damselfly, at ouse fen rspb today but neither one settled for an id, sorry
