Unidentified bird in Tokyo (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I need some help on identifying a bird. I only have this bad picture:

oiseauinconnu.jpg

The picture was taken in a suburban area of Tokyo.
The head of the bird is black and bumpy.

I was thinking it might be a corvidae or a picidae but I'm not even sure.

Unfortunately that's all I've got |=(|

Welcome to the forum.

It's certainly a myna, and not native ot Japan, but are there any other options for mynas in Tokyo?

I don't think Crested Myna has been recorded in Tokyo (there seems to be or have been a couple escaped birds S of Tokyo) however there is a small population of Common Mynas 30+ that reside in Tokyo. However I can't tell from this photo what myna it is.
