Unintended consequences (1 Viewer)

That is so sad!!! Anytime a lot of bombing is done there are tons of toxic chemicals going into the ground & water. The amount of depleted uranium deposited in the Mideast deserts in the last 30 years must be off the charts.

There have been scandals here in the US about all the soldiers exposed to toxic stuff because the military disposes of stuff in "burn pits" right on the base, spraying jet fuel onto all sorts of equipment and burning it. I think of the people and wildlife in those countries and what is now in their ecosystem going forward.

Here in Massachusetts we have several massive ground aquifers contaminated by PFAS and other toxic stuff from nearby military airfields, it's going to cost a fortune to try to get the stuff back out of the groundwater.
