I saw what I thought was a sparrow but was larger and plumper than the others. I then saw it had a long narrow beak, about 1 inch (25mm), slightly curving downwards.Body markings are pretty similar to the sparrows and the beak is a light colour.He/she always seems to arrive with the sparrows but does not enter into the arguments. Goes on the seed feeders and fatballs but slightly keeps a distance from the others.I have tried to get a picture but the station is a bit too far away for a clear shot.Looking at my RSPB booklet the nearest I can find is a tree creeper, but I do not think it is that.Any suggestions?
