"Unusual" behavior from a Hummingbird (1 Viewer)

Not sure if any one else saw this behavior from a Hummingbird. In the early spring, we were late in putting out our Hummingbird feeder. We had it stored on a shelf at the entry of our garage. The hummingbird flew into our garage and would not leave our garage until I took the feeder and placed it in our backyard.

Usually, they fly to the high spot of the garage, panic and die. I never leave my garage door open
yes, they are one of the worst to fly in the garage. Good thing the feeder worked to get him back out.

I had a downy woodpecker get stuck inside my garage window. I struggled to get him out - finally I grabbed a large stick and held it up into the space and he eagerly climbed on and I quickly got him out.

This spring a chipmunk ran in and disappeared into the rafters. I left the door open and he figured out how to leave at some point, thankfully.
