Unusual Robin Behavior (1 Viewer)

I have an imature Am. Robin that appears to be pecking at seeds on the ground and not digging for worms. And then, it attempts to access the hanging suet by flapping his wings long enough to try to get a peck at the suet and then drop to the ground. Repeating this process many times. I have Common Grackles and E. Starlings that do this continuously but have never seen a Robin perform such action. I don't know if the Robin is trying to copy the Grackles and Starlings. Maybe I have just not been that observing in the past. Looking for reaction.

psyco bird, he lost his ID somehow!
Truthfully, I've never seen American Robins behaving like this unless it was berries they were going for.
Or he's is a bird of a different feather!
