Roger (regor), found the black terns at 2,28pm. He did text me but my phone was in my ca r and I was in my daughters loft. Thus a delay in news getting out8-P:t
Won't be able to make this years all dayer due to work commitments :-C
So could I ask Mike (pretty please) to save me a copy of last years annual report, I should be able to get there the following Saturday.
@Phil Andrews - done, and thank's for the heads up; should have thought! (you're inbox is full too)

I note the Ross's Goose is back. The last date I believe he/it was on site was 25 Sept 2013 when it was seen "emigrating" by heading the "V" of a flock of around 20 Canada Geese.

Birding at Flashes:
This evening the place was buzzing, with birds evenly spread over the 1st and 2nd Flash. The warm conditions had encouraged a massive insect hatch and the birds were being attracted to the Flashes.

As Phil has already mentioned, this coming Saturday is the day of this year's spring all-dayer.
It is hoped that last year's reports will be ready for sale on the day, plus back copies for some years if anyone needs to fill in the gaps in their collection.
I also attach a check-list for those who are interested in keeping personal totals - 82 is the best all-day total on the reserve, 81 the best actually on an all-dayer day.
As you will see, we have recorded 131 different species in the 21 years the event has been running. Scope for a few more, or to find one of those not yet recorded this century![]()
