It's only Rock and Roller but I like it
Good luck to all those sites taking part in tomorrow's All-day Birdwatch - Upton Warren, Belvide, Marsh Lane, Middleton Lakes, Sandwell Valley, Venus Pool, Grimley, Far Ings, Gibraltar Point and Frampton Marsh, Unfortunately it doesnt appear that Ramblecote / Wittermore will be participating ;):-C

Regular updates on this thread live from site tomorrow plus snippets as to how the others are doing with a big round-up at the end of the day.

Please note there is an open water swimming session at the Sailing Pool from 7am tomorrow so the pool needs a thorough going over at first light to check for passage Common Sand, Arctic Tern (one present at Westwood Pool this evening) and Grey Wagtail.

Did a quick reci and put up All dayer sheets. Added kestrel and swift to my year list. Also common sand and dunlin present. No shoveler although I was only there for a bit. Rob and myself sorted out a couple of jobs. Also first avocet chick hatched

Drake Shoveler at the Flashes this evening. Common Sand and Dunlin still there at 8.40pm when I left. :t:

1ST Avo born

Nope, sorry Vern. Saw this at 0830(ish) this morning, when the dad flew off with half an egg shell.
However, I will concede that your photo, due to light levels (not equipment) is better than my several efforts though... ;)

32 Avos (not counting nipper) on the reserve today with JTB and myself doing simultaneous Flashes and Moors counts. Promising news about other waterfowl too, but caution precludes mention of detail.

On way to the Mecca. Gazza has slept over in the Flashes hide so hopefully he is up and alert. Best of luck all the teams and well done Belvide again. 8-P
