The Photo's after the work.
1. The scrape
2. the main shingle
3. pool island
4. we left a clump of Angelica for the insects

The cut and dug up plants were piled up around the islands to provide food and loafing areas for ducks. The islands will hopefully draw in any southerly flying waders, the open vista will also be safer for them now.

A pleasant afternoon made notable by "posh" chocolates, putting the world to rights and oh the odd bird photo. Thanks to the participants - you know who you are. Two shots of the Greenshank at the Flashes today and a couple of shots from last week. Regards to all.

After several weeks absence we should hopefully get a few Garden Warbler passing back through the reserve; still waiting our first Spot Fly of the year as well.

Interesting 5 hours this morning, total of 55 birds with some standard ones missing too. Best bit of action Sparrowharks passing food to each other in flight, plus 3 Heron not getting on together to well.
Still not seen a Kingfisher later has anyone got a photo lately?
