A Blackcap was singing from the education reserve when I got there at about 7am. I didn't see the bird so I won't tick it just yet.
Two Siskins flew over and two Willow Warblers were seen there (edy) and another was singing in the hedge opposite the hen pool. Ten Avocets, two Redshanks, four LRP's and two Oycs were on the flashes. A Kestrel was seen distantly.
A few Sand Martins were seen in various parts, the maximum count being five over the sailing pool and the number of singing Chiffchaffs has built up since last week.
On the moors, four more Oystercatchers, two Little Grebes, two Little Egrets, three Shelducks and a pair of Sparrowhawks were present. Lots of Common Buzzards all over.
