The Bearded Tit are still present today. Seen first thing from the Concrete Hide but I had one extreme right of the West Hide at 11.30. The trick is to look at the bull rush heads in seed.

In other news, the Linnet flock at the Moors is up to at least 100 with c50 Chaffinch. I've had a single Brambling with them 3 times but not this morning. 2 Stonechat and 2 Chiffchaff also present from west hide. Also 8 Curlew at the Moors. Flashes very quiet per Andy Pitt - 7 Snipe and usual Lapwing flock c 150

Bearded Tit reported from Concrete hide at the Moors briefly this morning but being elusive. Right of west hide at 12.30 per Tim Owens.
The Linnet flock seems to have reduced in numbers. Male and female Stonechat per Matt Smith, Muntjac in front of East Hide, drake Pochard and Nuthatch at North Moors per Andy Pitt.
Quiet at the Flashes late morning. 178 Lapwing, 3 Snipe, Peregrine, c20 Teal, female Stonechat

October saw 98 species (excluding Feral Pigeon) being reported. Highlights were;
Barn Owl
Caspian Gull
Goshawk
Great White Egret - several reports
Goosander
Hen Harrier - one report of a Ringtail disturbed on the Moors during a work party
Marsh Harrier
Red Crested Pochard
Yellowhammer

Out of interest, Curlew AT/Tim, still hanging out north of Weston-Super-Mare since his last sighting at the Flashes on the 1st October per WWT website;

Heavy Rain and winds at the flashes this afternoon. 90 Teal, 16 Shoveler, 25 Mallard, 2 Snipe, c200 Lapwing in fields opposite. c50 Linnet to fallow field left of hide.

No sign of the Bearded Tits this morning but the Ruddy Shelduck flew in with Greylags.

2 Kittiwake this afternoon (both adult winter) I picked up one at the Flashes which dropped in c 3.10pm whilst the original one was still at the Sailing Pool while talking to Andy Pitt there. Pics below are of the one at the flashes. Also single Shelduck to third flash and male Goosander over being main highlights

Adult Kittiwake on Sailing Pool to at least 3 pm this afternoon plus Ruddy Shelduck with Canada flock. Flashes quite quiet - pair of Goosander & 8 Curlews in to roost along with 800+ BHGs - unfortunately no Kittiwakes amongst them.
