US -Georgia help identify bird song (1 Viewer)

Hello, I have tried all of the bird song ID apps and none of them are identifying this sound correctly. We have not seen this bird, we have only heard it. It will normally make this noise twice and then we won't hear it again (I think it knows I'm trying to record it). We are in mid/north Georgia -US. We have listened to all of the songs of birds that we have positively ID'd in our yard and it doesn't match any of them. If someone can help point us in the right direction we would be grateful!

Hi krispears and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Have you managed to get a recording? If so you can upload it here using the Attach files button below the message pane. It would need to be in mp3 format I think.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hello! Thank you for having me! Yes I attached a .wav file to my initial post but I'm not sure it showed up... I am attaching it to this reply also

Thanks again!

Welcome, krispears33. I don't see a .wav file on either one of your posts in this thread.

Kris, I've sent the recording to one of our local bird guides.
Oh thank you so much! I still hear it daily and my app sometimes thinks it's an American Crow or a Fish Crow. But I've listened to all of their recorded calls online and nothing sounds similar. Thank you!
