used EL 8x32 or new NL 8x32 (1 Viewer)

A tripod adapter (and thus a tripod) with an 8x32 Swaro? Seems rather self defeating and unnecessary. The advantages of Swaro 8x32s (EL or NL) are their light weight and wonderful portability. Why defeat those wonderful advantages by lugging around a tripod?
That's for sure. However, the forehead rest gives some stability which can compensate for some of the advantages of using a tripod. I use it even with my NL 8x42. Especially it is very useful when hiking, it minimizes shaking and allows for more detail recognition. And it is more convenient to use compared to a tripod. The option to attach FHR is the main reason I opted for NL 10x32 rather than EL. Otherwise, I like the open bridge design of the EL.

How do you like the 10x32 so far? Did you find it a bit dimmer at night?
My previously used x10 binocular is the SFL 10x40. I really like the slim barrels of NL 10x32 compared to the SFL 10x40 even though the weight difference is not huge between them. I like the bit more FOV of NL too. However, SFL has better colours and contrast, the browns are more saturated in SFL. As well as it has no problem with glare. Overall, I prefer the ergonomics of NL so planning to sell SFL soon.

The NL 10x32 is dimmer during low-light times compared to the NL 8x42. However, when compared with the SFL 10x40 the difference in low-light performance in NL 10x32 is much less. The NL 10x32 is perfectly suited for my birding habits however, I carry a Habicht 7x42 during low-light hours.

Thanks for the info

Sehr schöne Ferngläser, leider kommen sie für mich nicht in Frage, weil die Pupillendistanz nur 72mm beträgt.
Daher kann ich sie nicht einstellen. Ich bin bestimmt nicht alleine mit diesen Problem.
