Using long lens on a sling - explanatory article (1 Viewer)

I have done an article, with explanatory photos, on how to attach a long lens to a sling so it is 'ever-ready'. I currently use a Nikon lens, but have used Canon for many years, and this technique applies to all brands as long as the lens has a tripod socket.

Phil,

Nice article with photos. Personally, I would not trust a single quick disconnect buckle with my rig. I've accidentally popped those types of buckles before. I would either use OP/TECH USA Secure-Its or replace that buckle with a carabiner with screw lock. The Black Rapids straps come with a more secure d-ring system.
