Birds
Parents just let me know we had a juv.moorhen in the garden today, few photos - new bird, not rare and not uncommon in gardens but we arent near water so a nice first. I hope he's flown off away from the cats.

Dad said concrake at first - got a bit excited ..

Goldfinch numbers up to 30 and a welcome return for a robin, blackbird and blue tit. Also saw 10 long tailed tits fly over and the usual flock of approx. 100 collared doves. Oh, and 2 Dunnocks

Nice birds and counts from everyone.

In a garden 20 miles or so away from me a Yellow Browed Warbler has taken up residence over the last couple of days! (Photos in link below) It makes you want to watch the garden even more, if only it wasn't dark either side of work:C

Yeah, that’s me in the picture o:D. I love astronomy, and that telescope would give absolutely extraordinary views.
Anyway, gone off on a tangent here, why don’t we get back to garden birds lol.

First wren to visit our garden! Very excited!!!

Initially thought it was a baby sparrow as we usually have lots of sparrows about but on looking closer after taking a photo, it turns out it to be a wren!
