I just had a similar experience to Syd (Why is eastern Pheobe trying to follow me into my house? I'm in a wheelchair so want to know if I have to worry or not.) I was sitting on my deck enjoying the snow and Phoebe landed on my balcony, cocked it's head and looked at me, then gently flew towards me. I gently waved my hand and it returned to the balcony only for us to repeat the sequence a few more times. I wasn't wearing my glasses or anything bright and shiny to attract it. But like you, I do talk to the birds when I'm outside. And like you, I don't move very fast, so finally had to shew it away with speaking blessings to stay warm and safe so I could get back indoors without it following me. I'll know next time to not be afraid and welcome Phoebe to a warm spot near/on me.
