I'm afraid that it's got to go.
This male house sparrow appears to want to make a nest behind the rear wheel of my Subaru outback. I will need to keep checking and removing it. Because I work out of my home office I often don't drive my car at all for several days at a time.
In this series, I saw the sparrow under my car with this strand of material hanging from my car. I took the photo and then removed the nest making material from my car and dropped it on the ground. I came back 5 minutes later to find the sparrow with the strand and then he put it back into place.
Later, not pictured, the strand is all the way up with only a small loop hanging within view.
Hope these photos don't violate the forum rules but I took them in my driveway looking at my car.
The House Sparrows really are an infestation here in my yard.
