Victoria BC life list (1 Viewer)

Well I decided to post the birds I have seen in the Victoria BC checklist area (includes Sooke and Duncan.) I am nearing 300 which is the major milestone and under 20 people I think have seen that many. But that might take a couple years. This idea came up when I got a new bird for Victoria today a Northern Mockingbird.

287. Black-billed Magpie
In Metchosin today. A self found bird with a birding group. I found it at the same time as several others but I Ided it first. Only sixth record for the area and first in 10 years
 
288 Magnolia Warbler
Only second record for the area and an extremely nice but difficult bird to see. Thankfully I was walking around Swan Lake when someone saw it.
 
Crazy string of rare birds. I've seen almost as many new birds for Victoria in the last 8 days than last year. Here' s a new one I saw today at Island view Beach
