Regarding Vis-migging ...

I would love to be able to learn more about this fascinating subject and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as regards a book which might help. Obviously you can't beat being 'out in the field' when it comes to learning this complex subject but any info would be very welcome.

Thanks very much

Dave.

would think that the hawk watch sites would be a good place to start. Here in the US, a good book dealing with this is "A season on the point" about migration monitoring and much else at Cape May New Jersey.

Although not a vismig book, I would recommend "A lighthouse notebook" by Norman McCranch (pbk 1988). Although the book is over 20 years old, it conveys the true sense of migration at coastal watchpoints throughout the year.
