I got the 7x36 Diamondback today. I won't have much other than the Swift to compare them to for a few days. But first impressions are pretty favorable. The image is very close to the Swift. Might be hard pressed to tell it from the 6.5 Fury. The image is similar to the 6x Yosemite, but the size of the image is definitely larger in this Diamondback. It is a bigger binocular than the Swift. It is also a bit smaller than the Fury. This one may well have to go back to Vortex too. The left barrel is noticeably less sharp and somewhat fuzzy around the edge compared to the right barrel. It take a lot of fiddling to get the diopter/center focus adjustment right. The focus operates through 1.25 turns. One full turn used from close focus to 30 feet. The diopter is a non locking right eye ring. It has the same out sized ocular (at least it looks the same) as found on the Fury. The ocular lens is 28mm. Lots of eye relief at 21 mm. I'll post more as I get it. The Bushnell 7x36 EX I don't have yet, and I sent the 7/12x32 back to Leupold for a diopter adjustment. It is not quite the Swift, but a lot closer than I expected. I'll decide tomorrow or the next day if it needs to go back, but the odds are that I will send it back. It is better to withhold comment on a slightly out of spec specimen.
