A very good start to the year with 68 entries for this months photo competition. With so many good entries both technically and for subject it was a very difficult choice to narrow the selection to just 30 for inclusion in the voting booth. Apologies to those who didn't make the final cut this time round.

Please cast your vote for your favourite entry -

1. Thumbnails

2. Slideshow

Voting will continue for the next seven days after which the winners will be announced. The photos will then be moved to their appropriate gallery forum.

It's often been said that making a decision is difficult but this month it's particularly so. It's a pleasure to view them all and it doesn't matter who wins.
Well done all !

I seem to have some trouble seeing the entries as a slide show, I always end up lost in some other gallery. Even thought I see the competition slide as the first one, I then begin seeing photos from some other galleries. I guess I'm doing something wrong, but not sure what....

If you use the link in my post above the slideshow should work properly for just the competition entries.

Thanks, yes that does work. I am puzzled why it doesn't work (when the option is offered) from within the collection itself (that is if one clicks on an entry and then clicks slide show).

It does if you scroll down the page and use the second lot of thumbnails. If you use the top set to start the slideshow them it just scrolls through the whole gallery. It took me a while to figure it out as well.

Congratulations to all the winners!

I believe one way to see just how strong the competition was is to look at two facts: not a single entry got 0 votes, and in fact 8 entries had 7 or more votes :t:

well done by all photographers
