The glass is half full, but the bottle is empty.
I'm 99% happy that this is a Willow Warbler but would appreciate confirmation.
I have some experience of caring for damaged birds and know that any bird that allows itself to be picked up is not well, but this one is a bit of a mystery.
No signs of injury or damage, no sign of a gape so I can't put it down to childish innocence, all I can think of is shock after a window strike.
It was obviously not frightened, one reason why I was thinking of shock, so it lived on my hand away from our resident Sparrowhawk for 7 or 8 minutes and then flew off...
