Dear members and bird watchers!

I spotted this bird today. I only have The central American Bird guide. The only bird looking like this in my guide is the Huttons Vitro.

But in my guide I have green back but my bird have brown back.

Anyone here that can assist with the proper ID? Assistance would be appreciated.

The other bird I ID as American kestrel. But it looks very small Is this the correct ID?

Kind regards and happy birding
Aladdin

Your first bird is a Yellow-rumped Warbler of the eastern or Myrtle subspecies. It may not be exactly as shown in your field guide because it's in fall (dull) plumage.

You are correct on the second bird. It's an American Kestrel.
Thank you very much Jeff

Really appreciated I was confused about the kestrel it looked very small. But it was very far away.

Kind regards and happy birding
