Warbler Woes ...Las Vegas, NV (1 Viewer)

I saw something today that I'm thinking is a Nashville Warbler. If so, it would be my first.

I also need to ID the other birds, so far I'm leaning towards a female Lazuli Bunting, Ash-throated Flycatcher, and Pac-slope Flycatcher.

Please let me know how I did on my guesses.. Thanks in advance!

I agree with you about Nashville warbler, due to the bird's distinct eye-ring, lack of wing-bars, and dark bill.

Bird no. 4 looks like a Lazuli Bunting to me.

The others look like your guesses also, but I can't say I'm experienced with Western flycatchers to say for sure.

Brown-crested Fly (big beak, mostly washed out yellow but very bright on the side), Nashville Warbler, "Western Flycatcher," and a Lazuli Bunting.

Bird #2 could be either Cordilleran or Pacific-slope Flycatcher ("Western" Flycatcher is a comfortable call). A juvenile too based on the buffy wing bars and tertial edges. Not knowing which species breeds in the area where you took the photos makes it hard to say with certainty.

Hi All,

The thick structure and brownish tones of the Empidonax suggest a Trail's Flycatcher to me. Based on location, I would think a Willow would be a good bet.
