Even, for argument's sake, England were to exist in such a vacuum, and not get affected badly by climate change very much at all. However, what about those places it imports food from? Or fuel? Or the places that are imploding and shunting their 'excess' population to areas less affected? Because, in the case of immigration, you can guarantee that the areas that don't do so badly from global warming in the short term (happily, those that caused it in the first place!) will have a hard time justifying closing the borders- Alesia Mk.
