No offense guys if the information just isn't out there in the public domain, but after enjoying Queen-of-Spain Fritillary at Piddinghoe, Sussex the other day, we thought (perhaps naively) we'd have a look for Wart-biter at Castle Hill.

Despite being there at 15:30 hours in the warmth of the afternoon, we were disappointed that we couldn't hear any. The area we looked was the south facing slope to the right of the descending footpath, accessed by the long hill top walk past Newmarket Hill radio mast.

Any pointers appreciated. I have heard and briefly seen one here several years ago but haven't managed a photo yet.

All the best, Phil
