I treated myself to an 'hours me time' this afternoon and took a walk along a bridleway that has a wood for part of the walk on one side and further on Boarding Kennels and fields, with fields on the other side of the bridleway! Flocks of Corvids and Woodpigeons seen throughout the walk, with them suddenly taking flight in the fields and surrounding trees. A couple of Swallows and to be truthful that was it in the way of birds! A few White butterflies flitted about and I think I saw a Speckled Wood but it did not land in the gusty wind so I am not sure on that one. I stood under some trees and scanned the fields (hoping for a Quail or twoo:D) when I felt something on my arm and lo and behold it was a Shield Bug! It wasn't there for long I can assure you and no I didn't take a pic of it! All in all a pleasing walk away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A few scenic pics added, fields of gold and Woodland.
